By Jenn: A Quintessential Catskill Mountain Wedding at The Kaaterskill in Catskill, NY • Hannah & Amos
Hannah and Amos’s big day was the most quintessential mountain wedding you could image at The Kaaterskill in Catskill, NY. There were tons of friends and family running around, helping them get ready. Their first look was what you could call magic; they had it in the forest on the outskirts of the property with Hannah in her tule and floral layered dress. The ceremony took place by the picturesque pond with the Catskill Mountains as a dramatic backdrop. After they sealed the kiss, they had a second traditional Korean Wedding Ceremony known as a Paebeak Ceremony, which was super beautiful and colorful. Layered outfits are worn, and as the events unfolded, the garments changed. A fun part of the tradition included the parents throwing dates and chestnuts, which the bride and groom attempted to catch with the bride’s apron. According to legend, the number of dates and chestnuts would signify how many children the couple would have. The chestnuts represent boys and the dates represent girls .. seems like Hannah and Amos caught more than they anticipated! After the Paebeak, there was a beautiful dinner outside on the lawn followed by an EPIC dance party (of course DJ-ed by the infamous and amazing DJ Gio). I definitely got down to a couple Cardi-B songs at the end ;)
Hannah & Amos; many congrats and bravo for throwing such an amazing party!
